Embarking on a camping trip for the first time since my youthful days, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement about the forthcoming experience.
Having acquired an affordable tent from Tesco, I eagerly set out for a week’s worth of camping in the stunning North Wales region. However, upon arrival at the campsite, it dawned on me just how ill-equipped I was for this outdoor escapade.
Among the myriad of items I had neglected to bring, I had no means of transporting and storing water. In a somewhat frantic state, I turned to Google to locate the nearest camping equipment shop – a rather difficult feat whilst situated in the heart of Snowdonia. Eventually, I embarked on a 100-mile round trip to the closest Argos branch to procure the much-needed supplies.
My options were somewhat limited, but fortunately, Argos had the Highlander Jerrican available and in stock for a modest £9.99.
Upon returning to the campsite, I promptly filled the container and made my way back to my tent. The Highlander Jerrican boasts its heavy-duty nature, and I can attest to this claim. Constructed from a robust, thick plastic material, the container withstood several tumbles off the table without any visible damage. I found it particularly convenient that the jerrican could be positioned upright on the table, and by simply loosening the lid at the top, the water flowed more swiftly.
The only minor drawback I encountered was the unusual angle of the water outlet, which made dispensing water a tad cumbersome. However, this didn’t detract from the overall usefulness of the Highlander Heavy Duty Jerrican.
In conclusion, the Highlander Heavy Duty Jerrican proved to be an invaluable addition to my camping arsenal, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for your outdoor adventures. It is readily available for purchase at your local Argos store.
